The first keys to canine health and wellness are quality food and supplements. Don't fall for hype. There are lots of extremely expensive dog foods out there that a spend much more on advertising than they do on quality products and most of all on testing their products.
NuVet Plus and NuJoint Plus
These are the supplement requirements in our health guarantee
Siberian Huskies - NuVet Plus, one pill per day for optimal health and development.
Carolina Dogs- NuVet Plus, one pill per day for optimal health and development.
NuJoint Plus, one pill per day for help with ear development.
All of our dogs, from puppies to adults are fed Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice or the Costco equivalent which is the Kirland Chicken and Rice. This is an all life stages food and is what we have found over the years that our dogs do best on. We have tried many many more expensive foods and have found this to best fit our dogs needs and it is moderate in price, not cheap and not over-inflated.
Through years of working with these bloodlines and receiving feedback from other puppy owners we have learned much about what does and does not work well for our puppies. We do not suggest Grain Free dog foods, both our Carolina Dogs and Siberian Huskies have done best with a Chicken and Rice type dog food complimented with proper supplements. We do not encourage using large breed formulas.
Kirkland available at Costco
Kirkland Chicken, Rice and Vegetable
This is what we use on a daily basis it is a twin to the Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice, made by the same company.
Diamond Naturals available at Tractor Supply, other feed stores and some pet retailers.
Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice
This is the same as the Kirkland food, it is slightly higher priced at retail. It is a quality food but will cost you about the same as a lower quality food.
Please note this is an all life stages food, we do not generally use puppy food, we use all life stages foods.
Victor available at many feed stores and pet retailers
Victor Chicken and Rice
We do not currently feed Victor. However, several of our dogs which are now champions and top ten dogs were initially raised on Victor, so we do feel good in suggesting it as our next best choice to Diamond.
Recommended foods: We have tried many more expensive brands but find our dogs do best on Diamond brand foods, please feed your puppy Diamond Products if posssible.
*Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice (it says adult but is an all life stage food)
*Kirkland Chicken and Rice Puppy or Adult - Available at Costco, also made by Diamond.

These are some of the treats and chews that we use for our dogs and recommend.
The first photo are all items that can be purchased at Costco. We use the chicken jerky regularly for training treats. We also make our own beef jerky for the dogs. The lamb jerky treats are used more sparingly, never more than a couple of them per dog per day. The checkups are great for dental health, they are similar to Greenies. The Kirkland Dog biscuits are made similar to the Kirkland food, our dogs will not eat most dog biscuits, but they love these. Our dogs get one of these each night and they really look forward to it, it's also part of their training that it's night time and time to settle down.
If you cannot get to Costco, these chicken strips are available at Walmart or online from Amazon. Again, these are chicken jerky. We do not recommend the dehydrated chicken strips as there have been many issues with them over the past few years.
